  • Beskrivelse: On 15 January 1953 the “Emigrants Community” of Sernaglia della Battaglia was born, the first of its kind in Italy. For years in Sernaglia della Battaglia, a village near Treviso, most of the men chose to emigrate to France or Switzerland in search of a job. Some of these emigrants returned to Sernaglia with enough money to build a house and lived the rest of their life there; others died abroad. It is thus the task of the Emigrants Community to provide these dead with an eternal resting place in the land of their fathers after so much wandering.
